Mario Alberto Lizano Blanco is a 45-year-old Costa Rican businessman who has supported the CRBA for the past 18 years. Mario was largely responsible for getting Backgammon legally classified as a sport under Costa Rican law.

Milton Gonzalez

Vice-President

Milton Gonzalez Castillo is a 35-year-old Costa Rican businessman involved with backgammon in Costa Rica for more than 17 years. Milton has won many local events and cashed internationally in Las Vegas in 2003 and New York City in 2008.

Rodrigo Solera

Treasurer - Graphic Artist

Rodrigo Solera is 40 years old and is a adminstrator for casinos and has played backgammon for more than 12 years. Rodrigo is also a graphic artist and will design the flyers and other promotional material for CRBA tournaments.

Antonio Ortega

Editor - Author - Statistician

Antonio Ortega, is a five-time Costa Rica National Champion and the author of Fascinante Backgammon. He has co-authored various other backgammon books with Danny Kleinman. Antonio will write on strategy for CostaRicaBG.com.

Marjorie Serrano

PR Spokesperson - Website Designer

Marjorie Serrano Blanco handles media relations for the CRBA and is the designer of this website. Marjorie also reports from international events for GammonLife.com and owns the Internet Backgammon Database www.ibgdb.com

Michael Strato Liberopoulos is a world-renown Backgammon consultant and Editor of GammonLife.com. He will help to market the 7th Tournament of the Americas bringing international players to compete at this CRBA event.

Nancy

Mascot

Nancy is the Mascot of the Costa Rica Backgammon Association and the winner of the 2008 Miss Cutest Dog of Costa Rica Pageant. Named after the golden colour of a small national fruit, Nancy loves to watch people play backgammon.
